Autonomous Race Management System Master Menu

 

Below are screen shots of the PC Software screens. These images are of the real system but can change slightly due to evolving improvements being continuously added.

 

The Master Menu functionality is divided into the following areas:

  1. Racing Setup
  2. Track Setup
  3. Competition
  4. Automation
  5. Results
  6. History (future phase)

Racing Setup Menu

There are 4 modules within the Racing Setup Menu:

  1. Series
  2. Teams
  3. Cars
  4. Drivers

The Racing Series is used to capture and maintain the various Racing Series that the user wishes to control.

The Racing Teams is used to capture and maintain the various Racing Teams that the user wishes to use.

The Racing Cars is used to capture and maintain the various Racing Cars that the user wishes to use.

The Racing Drivers is used to capture and maintain the various Racing Drivers that the user wishes to use.

The picture can be of a helmet or a professional driver or of yourself and friends.

Track Setup Menu

There are 3 modules within the Track Setup Menu:

  1. Capture
  2. Tracks
  3. Track Controls

The Capture Race Track Image is used to capture an image of a race track that the user has built.

The Racing Tracks is used to capture and maintain the various Racing Tracks that the user wishes to use.

The Racing Track Controls is used to assign the Time / Speed gates to the track layout and to associate each gate to a race function.

Competition Menu

There are 6 modules within the Competition Menu:

  1. Qualifying
  2. Analysis
  3. Starting Grid
  4. Race Preparation
  5. Race Day
  6. Performance

The Qualifying module is used to capture actual qualifying laps for each car competing in a race.

Qualifying is required whether a race is controlled manually or autonomously via the computer.

The Qualifying Analysis module is used to present to the User the fastest lap for each qualifying session and to examine performance graphs to give insight into areas that can be improved.

The Starting Grid module is used to determine the race starting grid based on the best qualifying times.

The Race Preparation module is used to set up the actual Race parameters that will provide real time race data feedback from each car during a race.

The Race Day module is used to actually Race

The Performance module is used to compare the best qualifying time / speed lap results for each car in a graphical format.

Automation Menu

There are 3 modules within the Automation Menu:

  1. Simulation
  2. Race Day (Same as above under Competition Menu)
  3. Performance (Same as above under Competition Menu)

The Simulation module is used to build an efficient set of time / speed parameters for the Autonomous / Computer controlled cars.

This data is used to control the cars when the computer is used during a race.

Results Menu

There are 4 modules within the Results Menu:

  1. Calendar
  2. Race Points
  3. Results
  4. Championship

The Calendar module is used to record all of the races for a Series in a Calendar year.

The Race Points module is used to establish the points system for each race.

The Race Results module is used to record the results for each race.

The Race Championship Results module is used to display the results for the Championship.
